If you were not looking for this place, you would completely miss it! Very nondescript from the street, just a nice old house tucked in beside a church. But what a find! Very walkable to everything, clean suite (we were in Suite #2 on the second floor), very comfortable bed. Steve and Mark were excellent hosts. Would definitely stay again!
*Update * Stayed here again. Absolutely fantastic. Great guys, super comfy place to stay. You feel like you're home away from home. Consistent. You know what you are getting because it's always just as good. Thanks Mark & Steve you're the best! Feels very welcoming as soon as you walk in. Lovely location and fantastic owners. Suite 5 is home away from home. Will definitely stay there again.
We had such a comfortable stay at Parkside House! The hosts were so wonderful and very accomodating and the room was just lovely. The property is super close to so many establishments, including the cutest little Dutch store. We will definitely be staying with Steve and Mark again next time we're in Barrie, and we highly recommend their property if you're ever in the area!
What a find! I was pleasantly surprised that I found this “gem” guesthouse instead of a regular hotel to stay in. Beautifully appointed furnishings, attention to detail, immaturely clean, spacious and friendly hosts. It was a quiet sleep in a safe neighborhood. Next visit will be in two weeks and I’ll be checking out the eateries minutes away. Thank you Steve and Mark
Beautifully decorated room. Spacious, comfortable and very clean. Very easy to get there and everything around the town is very accessible. The hosts were wonderful and kind! Definitely will stay there again!
I would rate it a 5 out of 5 for my stay. It was perfect. I had a procedure at RVH that required that I relax the day prior. I booked the suite with the soaking tub and enjoyed that. The bed was comfortable, and the room quiet and cozy. I'd stay again. I did not explore the area so can’t comment on location. I felt safe as a solo female in my ground floor room.
